For the upcoming Bollywood feature film 'Singh is Kinng'
For immediate release Chicago, July 2008 - Mega producers RDB (Rhythm Dohl Bass) are fusing Hollywood with Bollywood by bringing together American rapper Snoop Dogg and Indian actor Akshay Kumar for the innovative "Singh is Kinng" music video. The three talents are coming together in July in Chicago to produce the music video, which is the title song for the movie of the same name. Each artist involved in the project brings their unique talents to this exciting collaboration.
Calvin "Snoop Dogg" Broadus is a Grammy Award nominated rapper, singer, record producer and actor. With 9 studio albums under his belt and over 16 million records sold in the US alone, the talented musician is internationally known as a hip hop phenomenon. Snoop's latest album, "Ego Trippin'" debuted at number 3 on the US Billboard 200 chart and featured guests such as Pharrell, Charlie Wilson and Everlast. Snoop provides his rapping skills to this project and also appears in the video.
Akshay Kumar is an accomplished Bollywood actor, with over 80 Indian film credits on his extensive resume. His breakthrough performance was in the action flick Saugandh in 1991. Since then he has built a name for himself as both the classic action hero, and the romantic comedy leading man. He is well known for his Khiladi series, an Indian version of James Bond. The string of hits includes Khiladi, Main Khiladi Tu Anri, Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi and Khiladi 420. Akshay is the lead in the upcoming film Singh is Kinng and also stars in the video for the movie soundtrack alongside Snoop and RDB.
Producers/Performers/Djs the RDB brothers (Kuly, Manj and Surj) are the lead Indian vocals, composers and arrangers of the song "Singh is Kinng". The RDB brothers have already established themselves as a household name in the UK, Canada and International bhangra scene as one of the most talented production and entertainment groups of their time. Since June 2002, RDB have produced on 24 releases in the UK bhangra market. All albums have hit and held the number one spots in bhangra charts across the board.
